Contents: Metformin HCl
Indications: Treatment of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.
Contraindications: Insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, ketoacidosis, severe infection, stress, trauma & other severe conditions where it is unlikely to control hyperglycemia. Heart failure, recent myocardial infarction, dehydration, acute or chronic alcoholism or condition predisposing to lactic acidosis. Pregnancy & lactation.
Administration: Should be taken with food: Take with or after meals.
Adverse Drug Reactions: Gastrointestinal disturbances eg anorexia, nausea & diarrhea, impairment of vit B12 absorption, metallic taste & weight loss.
